About Me

Its the Details
After developing hotels for many years and seeing the transformations that great interior design can provide, I became interested in the field myself. So, I went back to study the basics, hoping that I could better interact with design teams and express my ideas about the concepts I wanted to achieve using their lingo. I was amazed at the intrinsic nature of interior design work. Hopefully from this blog you will gain some ideas yourself for either professional or personal remodeling projects. My long history in the southwest, Arizona in particular, certainly has influenced what design styles I prefer. But I will try to keep this blog as balanced as possible. a lot of influence on the styles I prefer but will try to keep it as balanced as possible.

Interior Design – You Have Options

So, most people will tell you that you have to choose a particular structure for your living room, bedroom, or kitchen. But to be completely honest, you don’t have to do any such thing. Interior design is all about finding what suits you and going for it. Of course, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind.

Structure can be changed, but should not be messed with if you don’t have a contractor’s consent. You see, some walls are “load bearing” and others lead to the outside. If you want to change something significant, then you need to know which walls have dangerous wiring inside, which walls will collapse the house if torn down, and which walls contain water pipes.

Taste is another big issue. While you might not know your tastes, you do know what doesn’t work most of the time. You can tell by looking at something whether you like it or not, and that taste should be preserved. However, you might not have many ideas for what you would like. If you need help designing your dream home, then call an interior designer. You can find several designers with websites showing pictures of their work. Simply find what you like and go from there.
