Its the Details
After developing hotels for many years and seeing the transformations that great interior design can provide, I became interested in the field myself. So, I went back to study the basics, hoping that I could better interact with design teams and express my ideas about the concepts I wanted to achieve using their lingo. I was amazed at the intrinsic nature of interior design work. Hopefully from this blog you will gain some ideas yourself for either professional or personal remodeling projects. My long history in the southwest, Arizona in particular, certainly has influenced what design styles I prefer. But I will try to keep this blog as balanced as possible. a lot of influence on the styles I prefer but will try to keep it as balanced as possible.

Certain Styles of Design

There are certain design styles that are universal and some that are popping up as new fashions all over the United States and beyond. Some of these fashionable designs, like the green shag carpets of old, will be nothing more than a fad. But some of them will live on in excellence.

The southwest styles of Arizona and other desert regions are really quite popular around the world, though they are embraced more in the United States. These styles involve rich colors, big furniture, and exquisite taste. While some families might not appreciate the southwest style, preferring a more subdued design style, most people will agree that the southwest is sizzling.

Traditional classic is a style that never goes out of style. Many homes across America are embracing structured lines and black/white themes. In fact, many homes prefer tradition to comfort, choosing particular thematic elements over the more popular creature comforts of the times. While some might call these homes “throwbacks to a different time,” I believe them to be shining examples of traditional taste over quickly fading ideas.
